Upon signing up for lessons, you will be granted access to a dedicated and private learning environment (VLE). In this VLE, you can chat with the teacher, view availability and schedule appointments, upload and share files (up to 1Gb), take notes, sign up to receive notifications on calendar updates and other announcements, and receive receipts.
If at any point you feel no further need to use the VLE, your data will be instantly and permanently removed upon your request.
Upon logging in, you're presented with this (customizable) front page where you can find chat updates, current calendar events, notes, recommended files and announcements.
You can rearrange, add and remove information you deem important or irrelevant.
At any time, you can exchange messages with your teacher about the subject you're studying, scheduling or cancelling appointments, and anything else to be addressed outside of lessons.
This has proven to be of great benefit, since sometimes a minor hurdle keeps you from plowing through a set of questions. With those obstacles out of the way, lessons can really put the focus on the bigger issues at hand.
Messages can be sent at any time, and a response will follow as soon as possible.
On the calendar page you can find all your appointments for lessons. You're free to create new appointments where time is available. Any such event shared with the teacher and students group will show up for the teacher and other students in the students group, so there won't be any double bookings.
You can set your appointments and calendars to show only that the teacher will be busy at that time without revealing any personal details, so your anonymity is preserved.
With 1Gb of space available, you can upload any learning materials so both you and the teacher can prepare really well for your lessons. Using your learning materials allows you and your teacher to prepare you in the context of your course so your knowledge matches what is requested of you on the test.
In the file space, the teacher may also share additional custom made learning materials with you such as mock tests, additional exercises, notes or explanatory documentation.
This page presents a summary of server activities related to you. Here, you'll easily find calendar updates, shared files and other such changes. You can change activity notifications in your settings tab.
The announcements page has announcements regarding the VLE itself. Since the instance runs really smoothly, there won't be many announcements.
